Chubby Button is a West Australian artist who spent most of his life chasing and surfing and painting the waves in the South West. His style has evolved over the past decades from airbrush to intricate brush work and abstract performance-like creations of large scale seascapes featuring the beaches and surf breaks he frequents.

Dividing his time between life in Fremantle and chilling in the hills around Yallingup, Chubby continues his fascination with the coastal landscape and surrounding oceans and his paintings capture the yearning for endless summers by the beach and perfect waves.

Chubby studied art in Portugal and has had successful exhibitions in Australia and Europe and his work is held in private collections nationally and internationally.

All pieces from the 2016 Leeuwin Exhibition at Yalilngup Galleries are now SOLD, though the gallery has more recent works now on display.
